Most maintenance work falls into the six areas below. What we cover on your site depends on the platform, its current condition and the requests your team expects to make.

Website maintenance services cover the updates, repairs and improvements an existing site needs after launch. That can include software and plugin updates, content edits, performance work, search fixes and repairs to connected tools.

We review the site first. Then we write down what is included, how requests reach us and which work would be a separate project.

Supporting a WordPress membership site after launch

For Adrenaline Worldwide, an online community of extreme martial artists and tricking athletes, we designed and built the WordPress site. We then stayed on as its development partner through March 2023, keeping the site running while it grew into a membership business.

  • Plugins and PHP. Maintained plugins and PHP as the site added features.
  • Payments. Resolved billing issues with WooCommerce and Stripe renewals and membership upgrades.
  • New features. Added competitions, a tutorial library, a studio program for instructors and live event streaming.
  • Performance. Added CDN delivery and media compression after the site moved to Google Cloud.

How a website maintenance request is handled

    Identify the affected page or function, what has changed and the expected result. We agree on the submission method as part of the support scope.

    Review and scope

    We identify the relevant template, integration or content and confirm whether the work is included in the maintenance agreement.

    Fix and test

    We make the change, check related functions and confirm the page or workflow behaves as expected before release.

  4. 04

    Confirm the outcome

    Record the change, what was checked and any follow-up needed. The agreement specifies whether a recurring summary is included.

What determines website maintenance cost?

Platform, site complexity, requested changes, expected volume and the support responsibilities all affect the scope. We document the arrangement and provide a written estimate before starting.

What do website maintenance services include?

Content changes, troubleshooting, software updates, performance and technical search work can all be included. The final agreement specifies the tasks, cadence and exclusions for the actual site.

Can you maintain a website someone else built?

We can assess an existing site, its integrations and code before agreeing to support. Whether a particular platform and configuration can be taken over is confirmed during that review.

Do you offer WordPress maintenance services?

Yes. We work on WordPress sites, including custom themes and plugins. The agreed support scope determines which updates and tests are included.

Do you handle Webflow maintenance and Shopify?

Yes. We work with Webflow, Shopify and Shopify Plus. CMS changes, integrations and store behavior are scoped around the platform.

Are website maintenance contracts month-to-month?

The agreement states the term and renewal conditions for that site.

What response times should we expect?

Response expectations depend on the agreed support arrangement. We define how requests are submitted and acknowledged, including any separate process for urgent issues, before work begins.

Do you manage hosting as part of maintenance?

We review the site’s current hosting setup and determine whether hosting administration belongs in the scope. Hosting arrangements are documented separately from content and development requests.

What happens if an update breaks something?

We investigate the affected function and identify the change that caused the issue. The repair or recovery process follows the agreed backup, staging and support responsibilities.

How do you handle patient information on healthcare websites?

Patient information stays within the practice’s HIPAA-covered tools for booking, intake and portals. We keep advertising tracking off those pages and do not sign BAAs.
