Website Redesign Services

We redesign dated, hard-to-edit and underperforming websites. Before any design work starts, we map the pages that already bring in search traffic and inquiries and plan how each one carries into the new site.

Before you redesign

When a website redesign makes sense

Refresh or redesign

Website refresh or full redesign

A website refresh updates the look: type, color, imagery and page styling. A redesign can also change the navigation, copy, templates, user flows and the CMS underneath. We start with the existing pages, search traffic and the functions the business depends on, then decide what needs rebuilding and what should stay. Sometimes a targeted repair solves the problem, and we will tell you when that is the case.

Vargas Law Office

Redesigning a bilingual law firm website

Vargas Law Office is a bilingual English and Spanish law practice in Milwaukee. Before the new pages launched, Google had nine of its pages indexed, and from March through May 2026 the site averaged about 11 clicks a month. We rebuilt it from a new site map with an updated logo, refreshed photography, all copy refreshed in both languages and a custom WordPress theme. The build took about three weeks. We have managed the firm’s SEO since launch.

  • A new site map. Each practice area got its own page in English and Spanish, with matching layouts and a Spanish URL and title for every Spanish page.
  • Search planned in. Structured data for the firm, the attorney profile, FAQs, services and breadcrumbs, set up as the pages were built.
  • After launch. Clicks rose every month from June to September 2026. June came before Google indexed the new pages on July 14.

Website migration SEO

Protecting SEO during a website redesign

Changing a site can affect search rankings even with careful planning. A baseline and follow-up reviews show which pages or queries changed, so we can investigate specific issues rather than guess.

  1. 01

    Inventory current URLs

Record existing pages, search queries, valuable links and Search Console performance before making structural changes.

  2. 02

    Map redirects

Give every changed URL a planned destination, using one-to-one redirects and avoiding unnecessary chains.

  3. 03

    Preserve search content

Keep useful copy, titles and structured data where they support the page; update navigation, internal links, sitemaps and ad destinations together.

  4. 04

    Crawl before and after launch

Check that old URLs resolve to working pages or a single redirect hop and that important new pages can be reached.

  5. 05

    Review the release

Check redirects, indexing and key landing pages after launch, then compare search performance with the original baseline. We agree on the monitoring and review schedule in the project scope.

Sacramento Orthopedic Sports & Shoulder

Redesigning an orthopedic practice website around patient searches

We have handled the website and SEO for Sacramento Orthopedic Sports & Shoulder from the start of the relationship. Around May 2026 we completed a full redesign and restructure: new branding, logo, colors and interface design, with the content and navigation reorganized around how patients look for shoulder, knee and sports injury care.

Site structure, internal links and technical SEO were part of the redesign, planned against the practice’s existing Google Search Console data.

What every website redesign includes

These are part of every redesign we scope. Ongoing SEO and AI search visibility after launch is a separate engagement if you want it.

  • Current-site audit

Assess user paths, search performance, content and platform constraints.

  • Content plan

Decide which pages remain, change, combine or retire.

  • Redirect map

Specify how old URLs reach their new destinations.

  • Performance budget

Define speed and Core Web Vitals expectations before detailed design.

  • SEO foundations

On-page content structure, schema and important technical signals.

  • Measurement

Analytics and conversion tracking checked during the move.

  • Editable CMS

Page templates and content fields that the client’s team can operate.

  • Accessibility

WCAG criteria designed and tested when specified by the client.

  • Ownership and handover

The site and its content belong to you. We hand over the code on request and set up editing access for your team.

Cost and scope

Website redesign cost and scope

Website redesign cost depends on the number of templates, how much content changes, custom features, integrations and any move to a new platform. We put the scope and price in writing after a free first conversation. A free SEO audit is a useful first look at the pages the new site needs to protect.

Start with a scoping conversation

We look at the current site with you, talk through what needs to change and follow up with a written scope and estimate. If a smaller repair would fix the problem, we will say so.

Typical redesign scopes
  • Template-driven redesign

A focused set of pages and reusable layouts, updated for a new visual presentation and content priorities.

  • Custom marketing website

A revised sitemap, content architecture, brand presentation and CMS shaped around more involved business requirements.

    Web design and development
  • Application-grade redesign

A new experience that also affects customer accounts, data, complex functionality or connected software.

FAQs

Questions about website redesign.

What determines website redesign cost?

The number of templates, content changes, custom features, integrations and any CMS migration shape the estimate. We define the project and price in writing after a free initial conversation.

How long does a website redesign take?

It depends on the number of pages and templates, how much content changes, approvals and development complexity. The Vargas Law Office build took about three weeks; that is one project, not a standard schedule.

Can you redesign a website without losing SEO?

We inventory ranking pages, keep useful content and metadata, map redirects and crawl the site before and after launch. Rankings can still move after any launch, so we compare against a baseline and look into the pages that change.

What is the difference between a website refresh and a redesign?

A refresh changes visual presentation. A redesign can also change content organization, templates, user paths, integrations and the underlying platform.

Can we stay on our current platform?

Yes, if it still supports the business. We work with WordPress, Webflow, Shopify and custom systems, and recommend a platform change only when the requirements call for it.

Can you move our website to another CMS?

Yes. We plan the content model, important functions, integrations and redirects before the new platform launches.

Do you handle B2B website design?

Yes. We organize complex offerings, services and product information around the questions different decision-makers need answered before they contact a company.

What will you keep from the existing site?

We inventory valuable content, URLs, incoming links, conversion paths, brand assets and integrations. The plan identifies what will remain, change or be retired.

Can a website redesign agency take over another team's build?

Yes. We review existing templates, code and dependencies to determine whether focused repairs or a fuller rebuild make sense.

What happens after launch?

We usually provide one month of post-launch support. Further work is available through website maintenance.
