Rebuilding a SaaS platform’s blog and page templates

BatchGeo is a subscription mapping platform: paste in a spreadsheet and get a shareable, embeddable map. We have been its technical partner since 2021, working across web development, UX, cloud infrastructure and platform operations.

  • Blog and templates. We redesigned and rebuilt the blog from the ground up, including every page template.
  • Connected to the product. The blog runs inside the same user experience as the mapping tool, so guides and the product sit together.
  • Subscription billing. Braintree payments with 3D Secure, kept current as payment rules change.

What the website needs to accomplish

A SaaS web design agency that also builds software

SaaS website design organizes software capabilities into a clear story: who the product helps, what it does, how it works and what buyers can do next. For B2B SaaS website design, that often includes role-specific benefits, product pages, pricing entry points and trust-building detail. We build the content system so the team can update those pages as the product changes.

What we build

Websites for each stage of a SaaS product

Startup website design usually starts with a few pages and grows with the product. We build for the stage you’re at and leave the structure ready for the next one.

  • MVP and pre-launch sites

Explain what exists today, make the offer credible and give early users or investors a clear action. The site can start with a small number of essential pages.

  • Marketing websites for growing products

Modular page types for features, use cases, integrations, articles and updates. Shared components and CMS collections support releases without continually rebuilding the design.

  • Ongoing product marketing support

New feature pages, refined messaging, performance work and content changes as the roadmap produces things buyers need to understand.

Process

How a SaaS website project works

  1. 01

    Content strategy

Identify the buyers, what they need to understand and which facts establish the product’s value. Define the page hierarchy and what each page should prompt someone to do.

  2. 02

    Design

Develop mobile-friendly layouts, product visuals and a reusable system. We show the actual feature or workflow where that tells the story more clearly than abstract illustrations.

  3. 03

    Development

Build in Webflow or WordPress for editorial control, or use a headless architecture when the requirements need it. Include analytics, structured data, performance work and redirects where needed.

  4. 04

    Launch and handover

Test the live content and sign-up path, train the team in its CMS where requested and provide the usual one month of post-launch support. When replacing an existing marketing site, we also inventory current URLs, prepare redirects and check analytics and conversion actions before release.

Cost and scope

SaaS website cost and scope

Cost depends on how many page templates you need, how much content is ready, design depth, CMS needs and integrations. A free scoping conversation produces a written estimate. If the scope includes the product itself, see Custom Web Applications and MVP & Prototype Development.

FAQs

Questions about SaaS website design.

How quickly can we launch a SaaS website?

The schedule depends on how much product content exists, how many templates are required and whether the site connects to an application. We plan work around the product launch, funding presentation or other fixed milestone.

Can you build the site before the product is finished?

Yes. We can work with a pre-launch team, write around the capabilities available now and create page components that can support future releases.

What platforms do you build on?

Usually Webflow or WordPress for marketing sites. Next.js and headless CMS architectures are options when integration and application requirements call for them.

Will our team be able to update it?

Yes. Every build includes a CMS that gives your team a way to change copy, publish articles and add pages. A walkthrough or additional training can be included.

Do you provide website design for startups with no established brand?

Yes. Startup website design can include clarifying the proposition, organizing the story and establishing the visual direction before the full identity system is complete.

Do you design the product interface too?

Yes. Our UX & Product Design work includes research, flows, prototypes and working interfaces for software products.

Can you develop the application itself?

Yes. Custom web applications and MVP development are separate scopes we can plan alongside the marketing website.

How much does SaaS website design cost?

Cost depends on templates, content readiness, design depth, CMS needs and integrations. We provide a written estimate after a free scoping conversation.

What happens after launch?

We usually provide one month of post-launch support. Continued design, content or performance work can be scoped separately.

Do you work with startups nationally?

Yes. We work with software companies throughout the United States. For a locally focused website, see Portland web design.
